I am a PhD student in the Algebra and Number Theory group at the University of Hamburg under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Julian Holstein. I started my PhD in October 2023 and expect to complete it in spring 2027. My PhD position is funded by the Cluster of Excellence “Quantum Universe” at the University of Hamburg.
Research
My research focuses on derived categories of the second kind, global Koszul duality, and Hochschild cohomology.
More specifically, I study compactly generated derived categories associated with dg-algebras, with particular emphasis on identifying classes of dg-algebras for which the compact generators admit an explicit description. A better understanding of these generators provides a route towards computing the Hochschild cohomology of the corresponding compactly generated derived categories.
